Heartwood House: au coeur de la vie was founded by a group of ten dedicated volunteers, who developed the concept from vision through to implementation over a one year period, beginning in September 2000. The following individuals came together as The Founders Group to act in the capacity of the first official Board of Directors for Heartwood House: au coeur de la vie in March 2001, but by no means does this brief list represent the entire collective of individuals who made this dream come true. The Founders Group have established a spirit of cooperation and determination that shall remain a framework for the Heartwood House community, even as their own roles will change, through the empowerment of new contributors throughout the many years of challenge and joy which are still to come.
